About David

I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and moved to South Florida in 1999 with dreams, curiosity, and a desire to build a new life. Creativity had always been part of who I was, but I had no idea that years later, a simple gift from my sister would completely change the direction of my life.

In 2011, she gave me her first camera, a Canon 20D, and taught me the basics of how to use it. She also gave me a piece of advice I have never forgotten: “If you want to learn photography, learn from your photos.”

So I did.

I began photographing everything I could. I studied, practiced, learned to edit, watched countless tutorials, experimented, made mistakes and kept shooting.

Photography gradually became more than something I enjoyed, it became the way I wanted to create, communicate and see the world.

In 2017, I decided to take the risk of pursuing photography professionally. What began with a camera and curiosity eventually grew into a career working with people, families, brands, businesses and events throughout South Florida.

Today, photography is not simply my business. It is part of my lifestyle.

Whether I am creating a portrait, documenting an event, photographing a family, building imagery for a brand or capturing a space, I approach every project with the same principles: creativity, respect, patience, professionalism and attention to detail.

I believe great photography is more than creating a beautiful image. It is understanding the person, story or purpose behind it, and creating something that will still have meaning long after the moment is gone.

I am still learning from every photograph I make.
